Inspiration can come from the most unexpected places!  Sure, I look at fashion magazines and blog posts about current jewelry trends, but I tend to be most inspired by what I’m doing in my everyday life.  Many times, inspiration will come to me while I’m out mountain biking or hiking our beautiful trails here in Durango.  However, in the past 2 months, inspiration has come from my CrossFit box!

 

I’ve been CrossFitting for over 5 years, and just recently joined the CrossFit Catacombs family.  I say family, because it really does feel like a family!  Tracie and her trainers and participants are so welcoming and from my first class, I felt like I was home.  The combination of camaraderie and competition has taken my training to a new level.

All this, plus the fact the the Catacombs logo, the sugar skull, is one of my favorite images, has inspired my newest collection of work.  I have designed this collection with the active jewelry lover in mind and I’m striving to make pieces you’ll want to wear every day.  I will have a display of this collection as well as some of my other pieces at Friday Night Lights October 30th, and I invite you to come have a look and let me know what you think.  These pieces are not yet available on my website, so you’ll have to see them in person!
