I don't know about you, but it took me till my late 20s, even my 30s, to appreciate my mom.

Now that I'm a mom myself, I think about what Mom did and I'm so thankful for her, even if I forget to tell her that!  From always having a home cooked meal for us three, often ungrateful, kids, to taking us to Europe when we were 8, 11, and 13 years old, Mom was loving, brave and strong.  She didn't choose the easy way, and maybe it wasn't always the "right" way, but everything she did came from a place of love, and wanting what was best for her children.   

You may say that Mothers Day is a commercial "Hallmark Holiday", but I see it as a day when we all can remember to show our appreciation for the mom who raised us and sacrificed so much for us.
